Heidi's Fraktur Angel hooking project in progress
Here I hooked a bit more of a project that is waiting to be completed. It will be fun to work with wool during the winter month- so it's "incubation" for now....
Rug Hooking with Fiber Artist Nancy Parcel
Fiber artist Nancy Parcels shared her tips on dyeing wool and tricks on rug hooking during a workshop I attended together with other members of the Brandywine Hooking Guild
Using thinly cut woven ,slightly felted , wool strips or worms -as we call them- which are pulled through a base, like burlap ,linen or monk cloth is accomplished using a tool that resembles a crochet hook. Its fun and easy to do and a very varied medium to accomplish magnificent art pieces which can be as beautiful as a painting
