...after finishing my Gypsy doll Zelda , yet another
epb design, I decided it's time to make a quilt. So, after I did all this precision cutting of the fabric pieces I realized that I really need a new sewing machine for this kind of a project and was interested in a Swiss-made
Bernina which led me to visit the
Sew'nVac Store in
Stroudsburg,PA where I bought the
Virtuosa 153 Quilters Edition model , a sewing computer ! I was informed that I needed to come back to take a few hours of instructions to learn how to get the most out of this smart thing.....So I did, but in the meantime, I completed the patchwork sewing of my first quilting project and took it with me for
evaluation and also took my Zelda along. Proudly showing off my precision machine stitched patchwork...I got lukewarm compliments and was asked what else I have in my bag when I produced Zelda....Hey, what a surprise it was to see an exited crowd gathering around Zelda, they loved her and I was asked if she was for sale.....Needless to say....I got the idea....
doll making is creating much more enthusiasm than a Quilt....I guess they are not stimulating the viewers emotion , but a doll certainly does !!!
Next, I was asked if I could teach
doll making in the Store classroom....Hm...I decided to think about it...
